Job summary

POWERX seeks an entry-level Field Service Technician for its National Technician Development Program. New hires complete five weeks of paid classroom and hands-on training in electrical safety, power systems fundamentals, schematic reading, protection and control, testing, and commissioning before field deployment.

In the field, technicians perform testing and service activities on customer sites nationwide, starting under guidance and advancing with experience and certifications, including

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or trade certificate preferred.
• 0–1 year of related experience; entry-level with guidance.
• Willingness to travel extensively and relocate for training in Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with electrical field testing and commissioning at customer sites.
• Perform basic measurements and participate in acceptance and maintenance testing.
• Document test results and help develop test procedures and reports.
• Use Microsoft Office and Excel to record and report field results.
• Represent POWERX professionally at client sites and communicate findings clearly.
