Job summary

POWERX in Phoenix, AZ, is offering a Field Service Technician – Development Program. This full-time, entry-level role starts with five weeks of paid training covering safety, power systems fundamentals, and testing techniques, then progresses to field work at customer sites nationwide.

Successful candidates will gain hands-on experience, pursue certifications (NETA supported), and grow into protection, controls, or commissioning paths while traveling as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with electrical field testing, commissioning, and service activities on power systems equipment at customer sites.
• Execute test points and procedures with increasing independence as experience grows.
• Maintain safety and quality standards per NFPA 70E and site rules.
• Record data accurately and contribute to test procedures and reports.
