Job summary

Crane Payment Innovations (CPI) is seeking a Field Service Technician I to service coin and currency equipment, ATMs, software, and related office products at client sites in the Southern DC region and surrounding metropolitan areas. The role involves travel, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with branch teams to ensure uptime and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years in a technician/field service role, strong electromechanical aptitude, and proficient use of iOS, MS

Qualifications

• Impeccable integrity and professional ethics.
• 1+ years in technician/field service/mechanical roles or similar.
• Ability to gain access to highly secured environments; licenses may be necessary.
• Strong electromechanical aptitude is a plus, not a must.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, customer‑focused attitude.
• Personable and able to work with others at all levels.
• Attention to detail; able to proof and prioritize work.
• Proficient in iOS, MS Office and Windows OS.

Responsibilities

• Service, upgrade and perform preventive maintenance on electromechanical equipment.
• Travel by vehicle to client sites (90% daily, 10% overnight).
• Collaborate with branch sales and service teams to meet client needs.
• Respond to customer service requests within contract response times.
• Cover extended hours and on-call duties when applicable.
• Maintain vehicle parts inventory and keep vehicle clean and serviced.
• Safeguard company assets including tablets and mobile devices.
• Perform other duties as required.
