Job summary

Yamato Corporation in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and service our packaging machinery at customer sites across the United States. You will collaborate with customers to optimize line performance and recommend upgrades based on product runs.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or 5–10 years of hands-on installation and maintenance experience, strong customer communication, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or 5–10 years of installation/troubleshooting experience.
• Able to communicate with customers in a diplomatic and professional manner.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, train and start up equipment at customer sites.
• Identify problems during installations and coordinate with engineers for resolution.
• Recognize potential equipment issues and devise workable solutions.
• Read wiring and function diagrams when servicing machinery.
• Travel up to 90% and occasionally work on weekends as needed.
• Answer calls from customers, rebuild actuators, and conduct trainings.
