Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to service a diverse fleet at various remote locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair equipment to minimize downtime while adhering to safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years’ diesel equipment experience, a valid license, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment; CDL may be required in some locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction gear, or specialty equipment strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; 21 years of age and CDL may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment.
• Work on a variety of makes/models in challenging remote locations.
• Collaborate with a safety-focused team to minimize downtime.
