Job summary

Vitruvian Consulting, Inc. seeks a Field Service Technician for on-site support in Gainesville, GA, servicing OEM equipment for the food industry. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-capacity processing lines, delivering professional service both on-site and by phone.

Expect substantial travel (70%+) to client facilities, flexible hours, and hands-on work from electrical to mechanical systems. A strong communication approach and a collaborative mindset are essential to keep jobs

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong electro-mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interact with clients on-site and remotely in a diplomatic, courteous manner.
• Ability to diagnose and repair large-scale machinery.
• Able to manage time, prioritize tasks, and achieve cost-effective results.
• Comfortable with significant travel (70%+) and long, non-standard hours.
• Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of academic and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead and first line of communication on all service-related calls.
• Provide on-site and remote support at customer facilities; maintain professionalism and courtesy.
• Recommend parts and other services during on-site visits to fulfill customer needs.
• Ensure no job is left unfinished and escalate to management if needed.
• Document all services with detailed trip reports, time allocation, and follow-up actions.
• Complete ERP (M1) paperwork for services and ensure jobs are ready to invoice.
• Complete in-house and on-site jobs promptly as assigned.
