Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an IT Field Service Technician to support Edward Jones branch offices, vendor sites, and home FAs within a defined territory in Wisconsin. You will install, upgrade, and maintain branch connectivity and site infrastructure, and provide timely technical support with minimal disruption.

Responsibilities include IMAC management, asset control, customer training on new systems, and ensuring SLA compliance.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or two+ years IT/field service experience.
  • Ability to use related computer hardware and software.
  • Ability to safely use a step ladder and lift/move up to 100+ pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Support Edward Jones branch offices, vendor sites, and home FA locations within the assigned territory.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain primary and backup branch connectivity and site infrastructure.
  • Maintain network hardware, computers, telephones, printers, cabling, and related systems.
  • Manage maintenance, IMAC tasks, and various projects.
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs, rollout schedules, and deadlines.
  • Provide client training on newly implemented systems.
  • Complete maintenance, project, and IMAC calls independently within deadlines.
  • Provide backup coverage for neighboring service areas when needed.
  • Monitor and manage the ticket queue through resolution in accordance with SLAs.
  • Schedule ETA commitments and ensure safe, timely arrivals.
  • Update tickets with dates, times, resolution codes, hardware usage, and other details.
  • Perform Asset Management duties, including asset transactions, equipment packaging, and shipping logs.
  • Provide timely technical support with minimal client disruption.
  • Maintain inventory of required parts and tools.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade voice, data, and AV hardware.
  • Schedule and maintain company vehicles.
  • Operate a company vehicle for work assignments.
  • Provide customer service and participate in additional projects.
  • Carry and respond to a company-issued cellphone for on-call support as required.

Requirements


  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or technical school OR two or more years of IT and/or field service experience

  • Able to use all related computer hardware and software

  • Able to use job-related tools

  • Able to safely use a step ladder

  • Able to lift and/or move up to 100+ pounds of equipment

  • Possess a valid driver's license in the employee's state of residence allowing legal operation of a company vehicle

  • Provide documentation verifying a minimum age of 21 for company car insurance requirements

  • Maintain residence in the assigned territory

  • Capable of reading and reviewing information on computer monitors for prolonged durations

  • Maintain reliable high-speed internet access for work-related tasks

  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for equipment repairs

  • Physically able to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods

  • Able to bend, squat, crawl, climb, twist, kneel, and reach at ground level and overhead

  • Able to hold and grip objects securely for extended periods

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Physical ability to lift and transport equipment and work in various environments, including confined spaces

  • Regular travel of up to 3 hours in one direction to assigned Edward Jones branch locations
