Job summary

EarthLink seeks a dependable Field Service Technician to deliver installation and repair services for business customers. You will act as remote hands for NOC engineers, install wiring to TIA-568B standards, and configure network hardware.

The role requires climbing towers, on-call duties, and strict adherence to safety and site protocols. High school diploma or GED and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in data/communications preferred.
• Current ComTrain (or equivalent) tower climbing certification, or ability to complete after hire.
• Strong computer proficiency and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call within 60 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation and repair services to business customers.
• Serve as remote hands for NOC engineers during activations and troubleshooting.
• Install and test premise wiring per TIA-568B standards.
• Install and configure network hardware and equipment.
• Climb towers to install, replace, or maintain equipment.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule 24/7.
• Follow site safety protocols and company policies.
