Job summary

TDS Telecom is seeking a Field Service Technician-Network in Parsons, TN to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain telecommunications products for business customers, including fiber and copper networks.

You will work on outside plant facilities, perform splicing, locate cables, and may climb poles. This role requires proactive customer service, sales awareness, and adherence to safety and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines to meet business needs including obligations to customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, test, splice, repair, and maintain telephone and network equipment at customer sites.
• Identify defective cable and locate/mark buried, aerial, and underground facilities.
• Perform pole climbing and operate construction equipment as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and educate customers on TDS products.
• Gain working knowledge of grounding practices associated with splicing and maintenance of outside plant facilities and equipment.
