Job summary

TDS Telecom is seeking a Field Service Technician-Network to install, troubleshoot, and maintain telecommunications equipment and services for customers. The role requires hands-on work with fiber optic and copper facilities and direct customer interaction to identify needs and offer solutions.

You will handle wiring, maintenance, and repair tasks across various services while promoting TDS products. Strong problem solving and communication skills with willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year telecommunications experience or military service.
• 6+ months of basic fiber optic and/or copper cable splicing and repair, installation and repair, or switch training.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must follow attendance guidelines to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, splice, repair, and maintain telecom equipment and facilities.
• Provide troubleshooting support and handle trouble dispatches.
• Support record systems and customer data accuracy.
• Educate customers and sell TDS products and services.
• Perform project management for system installations.
