Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. seeks a union field technician to test, inspect and maintain electrical power equipment across the upper Midwest. Openings range from Level I through IV, with a full-time schedule and union benefits including pension.

You will run high-voltage test equipment, commission new installations and support outages. Expect 50–75% travel, a valid driver's license, NETA certification or progress toward certification, and relocation assistance where applicable.

Qualifications

• NETA certification at any level or working toward certification.
• Experience with power factor or HV testing.
• Willingness to travel 50–75%.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Test, inspect and maintain switchgear, breakers, transformers and cable.
• Run high-voltage test equipment, including power factor test sets.
• Commission new installations and support outages and emergency calls.
• Lead and mentor apprentices and junior techs (senior levels).
