Job summary

Murata Machinery USA, Inc. is seeking a field technician to install and service logistics and automation equipment at customer sites in Charlotte, NC. You will demonstrate, program, and commission equipment while ensuring reliable operation and customer training.

The role requires up to 90% travel, including international assignments, with strong mechanical and electrical skills and the ability to read drawings. Associates degree in engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Previous experience with material handling equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand equipment drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install and service stacker cranes, conveyors, and/or AGVs.
• Demonstrate and commission equipment at customer plants, including electrical/mechanical check-outs and programming.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic or mechanical issues in customer facilities.
• Prepare installation/service and expense reports accurately and promptly.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and assist Sales/Project teams.
