Job summary

Murata Machinery USA, Inc. is seeking a technically skilled technician to install and service its Logistic & Automation Division products at customer sites in Reno, NV and beyond. The role includes training customer personnel and supporting sales, engineering and project teams.

Applicants should have an AS degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering and 0–2 years of related experience. Frequent travel up to 90% is required, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and skills
• Experience with AC/DC motors, gear boxes, or gear reducers
• Familiarity with stacker cranes, conveyors, or AGVs
• Ability to use Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings

Responsibilities

• Install material handling products (stacker cranes, conveyors, AGVs).
• Demonstrate equipment in customer plants, including setup and programming checks.
• Service L&A products; diagnose electrical/electronic or mechanical issues; advise customers.
• Prepare and submit installation/service reports electronically.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology to train customers.
• Assist Sales, Engineers and Project Managers as needed.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and provide support to other technicians.
