Job summary

Tennant Company seeks a Field Service Technician to diagnose equipment issues and keep Tennant products running at customer sites across the region. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and coordinate with customers on timelines, billing, and future service needs.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Using hand and power shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices (multimeter, voltmeter, etc.).
• Using a personal computer, MS Office Suite, and email.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and resolve complex problems by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems and combustion engine problems on Tennant products and similar models.
• Own your territory and plan daily schedule, contacting customers to schedule service activities, maintain open communication on expectations, timelines, billing, and future needs.
• Create and maintain records of all service activities and business reporting documentation.
• Collaborate with internal partners such as sales, customer service, technical assistance, field service support, and other technicians.
