Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain air compressors at customer locations in the Greensboro, NC area. The role requires diagnosing issues, providing corrective actions, and training customers and field staff to ensure reliable operation.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience with industrial mechanical systems, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel 1–2 times per year as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years' experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
• Must possess a mechanic's set of tools and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors and related components at customer sites.
• Diagnose problems and recommend corrective actions in field conditions and document reports for manufacturing facility.
• Provide technical training to customers, potential customers, field salesmen and trainees.
• Submit detailed service reports and timely expense/time records.
