Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all makes of compressed air equipment within a 3-hour service radius. You will interact with customers, perform preventative maintenance, and assist in parts procurement.

The role requires 2+ years of mechanical troubleshooting experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel with a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
• Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months with clean record.
• On-call availability, including a 1‑week on-call period every 4+ weeks.
• Physically capable of regular lifting and movement as per safety policy.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a mechanic's tool set; specialty tools provided.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with parts ordering with Service Coordinator.
• Train apprentices and other Field Service Technicians.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Provide hands-on support for pre-commissioning, start-ups, installations and repairs.
