Job summary

Signode is seeking a field service technician to install and service a broad range of industrial equipment across customer sites. This role requires daily travel with potential overnight stays, and will be based in the Milwaukee, WI area.

You will read blueprints, diagnose issues across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and support technicians with training and repairs. Strong PLC knowledge and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of transferable experience.
• Experience working on Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics systems
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• PLC background
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)

Responsibilities

• Install and service a wide variety of general-purpose equipment.
• Travel daily by auto with frequent overnight stays.
• Document daily service activities and expenses accurately.
• Read complex blueprints and diagrams for installations and upgrades.
• Provide technical support and training to Signode technicians; coordinate with management.
• Identify upgrade and retrofit opportunities and support in quotations.
