Job summary

Signode seeks a Sr. Field Service Technician to join the Cleveland, OH team. This role installs, services and trains on a broad range of industrial equipment and requires daily travel with overnight stays.

The position covers field installations and active customer support across Signode’s end-of-line packaging products. The candidate must be based in the Akron/Cleveland area, read blueprints and schematics, and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems while

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of transferable experience in field service.
• Experience working on Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics systems.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install and provide on-demand/scheduled service and training for general-purpose equipment.
• Travel daily by auto with frequent overnight stays; daily drive time 1–6 hours.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic failures; perform maintenance.
• Document daily service activities and expenses in the recording system.
• Coordinate pre-installation meetings with customers and ensure safety compliance.
• Identify upgrade opportunities and support quotation processes.
