Job summary

TDS Telecom is seeking a Field Service Technician III to install, trouble shoot, test, and maintain telecommunications systems and customer networks. You will handle PBX, Centrex, and business systems, while delivering top-tier customer service and identifying sales opportunities.

The role requires field travel within the service area, on-call coverage, and strong problem-solving abilities. Join a team focused on reliable networks and customer-centric solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years technical telecommunications experience or equivalent military service.
• 1+ year of basic fiber optic and/or copper cable splicing and repair, installation and repair, or switch training.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must follow attendance guidelines to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, tests, splices, repairs, and maintains telephone and network equipment for customers.
• Installs, configures, maintains, and repairs PBX, key systems, Centrex, and business systems.
• Provides advanced troubleshooting support and responds to trouble dispatches.
• Maintains records of cross connects, line groups, network elements, and related data.
• Delivers excellent customer service and educates customers on TDS products and services.
• Performs project management for system installations and related tasks.
