Job summary

TDS Telecom is hiring a Field Service Technician III in Clayton, IN. The role covers installation and maintenance of network equipment, PBX and business systems, and providing high-level technical support. You will educate customers on services and may lead project installations.

Reside within 60 minutes of the Clayton warehouse; a $2,500 sign-on bonus applies. On-call and occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years technical telecommunications experience or military service with honorable discharge.
• 1+ year fiber optic and/or copper cable splicing/repair or switch training.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must follow attendance guidelines to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, test, splice, repair and maintain telephone and network equipment.
• Install and repair PBX/Key Systems/Centrex and related equipment.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and dispatch responses.
• Support and maintain record systems and network elements.
• Deliver excellent customer service and educate customers on TDS products.
• Lead project installations and perform related duties as requested.
