Job summary

Hudson Technologies is seeking a Service Technician II for immediate hire to expand our U.S. field service team.

You will perform a broad range of HVAC/R service and refrigerant recovery tasks with minimal supervision, progressing to lead on-site projects. The role emphasizes independent field work, advanced troubleshooting of chillers and refrigeration systems, mentoring Tech I staff, and coordinating on-site logistics.

Qualifications

1–3 years of hands-on HVAC/R field service experience with increasing independence.
EPA 608 Universal Certification required; OSHA-10; HAZMAT a plus; valid driver’s license; DOT requirements; forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Independent field work: perform routine service and refrigerant recovery with minimal supervision, lead on-site when paired with Tech I.
Advanced troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve intermediate issues in chillers and refrigeration systems using diagnostic tools.
Special projects support: assist with refrigerant retrofit conversions and decontamination procedures.
On-site coordination: manage logistics, tools, materials and inventory, adjust to field conditions, communicate with management.
Mentoring junior techs: guide Tech I, share procedures and safety practices, foster growth.
Customer interaction: explain work performed and ensure client satisfaction before leaving site.
