Job summary

Hudson Technologies seeks a Service Technician II (Intermediate Field Technician) for immediate hire to expand our U.S. field service team. An intermediate-level tech who can work more independently on service calls, performing HVAC/R service and refrigerant recovery with minimal supervision.

You’ll tackle complex tasks, assist with retrofit conversions and decontamination, and mentor Tech I staff while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on every site.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years hands-on HVAC/R field service experience.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification is required.
• OSHA-10 safety training; OSHA-30 is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet DOT requirements.
• Forklift operation certification is required or to be obtained.
• Strong diagnostic skills with chillers, recovery units, and controls.
• Ability to train and mentor junior Tech I on the job.

Responsibilities

• Independent field work and refrigerant recovery with minimal supervision.
• Advanced troubleshooting of intermediate issues in chillers and systems.
• Support special projects like retrofit conversions or decontamination.
• On-site coordination of tools, materials, and refrigerant inventory.
• Mentoring junior Tech I employees and guiding on procedures.
• Communicate with customers and manage expectations before leaving site.
