Job summary

Alma Lasers is seeking a Field Service Technician II to travel to customer sites on the East Coast and occasionally to the Central U.S. to repair and maintain Alma Lasers equipment. The role includes Level 2 phone support, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.

Candidates should have 4+ years in field service, an associate degree in electrical repair or equivalent, and familiarity with ISO 13485. Travel-heavy, with an emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electrical or electronic repair or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of Field Service experience.
• Experience with component level repair preferred.
• Knowledgeable of ISO 13485 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning medical instruments or equipment.
• Repair equipment after diagnosis.
• Read diagrams and schematics to perform full board swaps as needed.
• Test machines after repair to ensure proper functionality.
• Maintain and complete all repair documentation paperwork.
• Provide Level 2 support via phone to customers and internal employees.
• Set appointments to perform preventive maintenance, service calls, and installations.
• Mentor and aid other field service personnel.
