Job summary

Alma Lasers is seeking a Field Service Technician II to travel to customer sites across the East Coast, with periodic Central U.S. travel as needed. You will repair Alma Lasers equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and provide Level 2 phone support to customers and staff.

The role requires 4+ years of field service experience, an associate degree in electrical/electronic repair, and ability to read schematics. OT is available and travel-heavy, with a proactive maintenance mindset.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electrical or electronic repair or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of Field Service experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 is preferred.
• Experience with component level repair is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites across the East Coast with some Central U.S. travel.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning medical instruments or equipment.
• Repair equipment after diagnosis and perform full board swaps when needed.
• Test machines after repair to ensure proper functionality
• Maintain and complete all repair documentation
• Provide Level 2 support via phone to customers and staff
• Calibrate devices using test equipment such as power meters
• Mentor field service peers and develop troubleshooting documents
