Job summary

Baxter in Richmond, VA is seeking a Field Service Technician I to service a range of medical devices used for patient care. You will clean, disinfect, perform readiness checks and minor repairs, and support 24/7 delivery and service to patient care sites.

You’ll operate a box truck, handle up to 1680 pounds, work in hospitals and service centers, and collaborate with customers and teammates to ensure timely, compliant service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and driving record.
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Technical or Trade School training preferred.
• DOT physical card (assistance provided).
• Experience with FDA regulated products.
• Experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Performs electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products.
• Ability to troubleshoot devices and repair malfunctioning components.
• Ability to use the appropriate tools in making adjustments and repairs.
• Provide on-call coverage, up to 24/7 including weekends and holidays.
• Load, unload, and remove medical products weighing up to 1680 pounds.
• Generate service revenue and complete activities under service contract.
• Safely operate box truck or company car up to 26,000 pounds.
