Job Description

This is a remote position with travel up to 90% of the time. The ideal candidate should live close to a US airport.
Our airport team works a variety of alternate shifts including nights and weekends.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base salary range for this position is $46,480 - $69,025, determined based on experience, skills, education, performance, licenses/certifications, business needs, and other legal factors. POSITION SUMMARY:

This role supports SICK Services and Products throughout North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide excellent customer service by managing expectations effectively.
  2. Support various Service Organization programs.
  3. Build support structures with SICK equipment, requiring hand tools and basic construction skills.
  4. Make electrical connections of SICK equipment.
  5. Configure SICK products using laptops and software.
  6. Perform onsite commissioning and startup support, monitor and adjust equipment as needed.
  7. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replace SICK equipment.
  8. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  9. Complete service reports, timecards, and travel expenses accurately and promptly.
  10. Attend required training sessions.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Two-year college degree, technical school, or equivalent experience required. A four-year degree is preferred.
  • 0–3 years of field service experience.

Other Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 85% of the time.
  • Availability for alternative schedules, including weekends, nights, and on-call hours.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

POSITION SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Complete logistics automation product boot camp training.
  • Complete all assigned SICK training (LMS, SIA-Online, on-the-job).
  • Install, test, and commission at least two fixed depth of field scanners, two auto-focus scanners, and two CDM module CLV-based scanner systems.
  • Knowledge of SOPAS and CLV setup software; ability to write simple evaluation conditions and output formats.
  • Ability to read CAD designs, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as expense reports and daily reports.
  • Assemble scanner systems (80/20 frames).
  • Work effectively in a team environment with senior technicians.
