This is a remote position with travel up to 90% of the time. Ideal candidate should live close to a US airport.
Our airport team works a variety of alternate shifts including nights/weekends.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Our base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The starting base salary range for this position is listed below. Actual starting salary will be based on a variety of factors including experience, skill set, education, performance, license/certifications, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Starting Base Annual Salary Range: $46,480 - $69,025

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position primarily supports SICK Services and Products throughout North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide excellent customer service by managing customer expectations effectively.
2. Support various Services Organization programs.
3. Build support structures and populate with SICK equipment, requiring hand tools and basic construction knowledge.
4. Make electrical connections of SICK equipment.
5. Configure SICK products using a laptop and configuration software.
6. Provide onsite commissioning of installed equipment following established criteria.
7. Perform onsite start-up support, monitor equipment operation, and make adjustments as needed.
8. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replace SICK equipment properly.
9. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
10. Provide accurate service reports, timecards, and travel expenses promptly.
11. Attend required training sessions.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

• Two-year college degree, technical school, or equivalent work experience required. Four-year degree is preferred.
• 0-3 years of prior field service experience.

Other Qualifications:

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 85% of the time.
• Availability to work alternative schedules including weekends, nights, and on-call hours.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States.

POSITION SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Complete logistics automation product boot camp training.
• Complete all assigned SICK training (LMS, SIA-Online, on-the-job).
• Install, test, and commission a minimum of two single-line fixed depth of field scanners.
• Install, test, and commission a minimum of two auto-focus scanners.
• Install, test, and commission a minimum of two CDM module CLV-based master/slave scanner systems.
• Knowledge of SOPAS and CLV setup software; ability to write simple evaluation conditions and output formats.
• Ability to read CAD designs, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Complete administrative tasks such as expense reports and daily reports.
• Assemble scanner system frames.
• Work effectively in a team environment with senior technicians.
