Job Description

This is a remote position with travel up to 90% of the time. Ideal candidate should live close to a US airport.
Our airport team works a variety of alternate shifts including nights and weekends.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Our base salary is part of a comprehensive total compensation package, determined within a range based on experience, skills, education, performance, licenses/certifications, business needs, and other job-related factors. The starting base salary range for this position is $46,480 - $69,025.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role primarily supports SICK Services and Products across North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide excellent customer service by managing expectations effectively.
  • Support various programs within the Services Organization.
  • Build support structures and install SICK equipment, requiring hand tools and basic construction knowledge.
  • Make electrical connections of SICK equipment.
  • Configure SICK products using laptops and configuration software.
  • Perform onsite commissioning and startup support, monitor equipment, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replace SICK equipment.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Accurately complete service reports, timecards, and travel expenses.
  • Attend required training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Two-year college degree, technical school, or equivalent work experience required. A four-year degree is preferred.
  • 0–3 years of prior field service experience.

Other Qualifications:

  • This is a travel-intensive position, requiring domestic and international travel up to 85% of the time.
  • Availability to work alternative schedules including weekends, nights, and on-call hours.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States.

POSITION SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Complete logistics automation product boot camp training.
  • Complete all assigned SICK training modules.
  • Install, test, and commission at least two fixed depth of field scanners, two auto-focus scanners, and two CDM module CLV-based master/slave systems.
  • Basic knowledge of SOPAS and CLV setup engineering software; ability to write simple evaluation conditions and output formats.
  • Ability to read CAD designs, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as expense reports and daily reports.
  • Assemble scanner systems (80/20 frames).
  • Work effectively in a team environment with senior technicians.
