Job summary

Ring Power Corporation seeks a skilled Service Field Tech I to diagnose, repair, and maintain Caterpillar equipment for customers and internal use. You will follow safety policies, complete required LMS training, document repairs, and ensure cost-effective service.

A valid driver’s license and mechanical/technician aptitude are essential. Role includes contributing to team goals, upholding quality standards, and working with advanced dealer software for reporting and time tracking.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
5-6 years of experience.
Valid Driver's License required.
Completed all required training curriculum to be designated Service Field Tech I.
Able to comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealer software (not required but desired).

Responsibilities

Conducts all assigned work safely and wears PPE.
Diagnose and perform repairs on customer or company equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.
Prepare documentation of repairs and track repair times.
Monitor job expenses vs estimates and inform supervisor of cost overruns.
Train and mentor others in department; may temporarily assume supervisor duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
