Job summary

IEM is seeking a Field Service Technician Level I to support start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of IEM equipment under the guidance of experienced Field Service personnel. The role targets individuals with mechanical, electrical, or technical aptitude who are eager to learn and grow in a field service environment.

Comprehensive training and on-the-job learning are provided to advance within the Field Service career path, with potential travel to customer sites

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems preferred.
• 0–2 years of related electrical, mechanical, technical, manufacturing, construction, or field service experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support the start-up and commissioning of switchboards, control panels, and power products under the direction of experienced Field Service personnel.
• Assist with the installation and modification of electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Perform basic testing of modified assemblies according to procedures.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of electrical circuits and networking equipment.
• Identify and escalate product, commissioning, or customer-site issues to Field Service Leads, Project Managers, manufacturing teams, or management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
