Job summary

Carter Machinery Company, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician for the 1st shift. Starting compensation ranges from $30.45 to $43.43 per hour, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus available for those with 3+ years of heavy equipment field experience and a $2,000 bonus for less experience.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Caterpillar and related equipment at customer sites. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience servicing Caterpillar equipment.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair assigned work orders at customer sites.
• Service, diagnose and repair machine components and systems on-site.
• Disassemble, inspect, and order parts; reassemble to specs.
• Interact with customers and answer repair questions.
• Perform minor electrical and computer repairs.
• Document all work and prepare service reports.
