Carter Machinery Co. Inc. in Delaware is seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Caterpillar and allied equipment, use service manuals, and perform engine, electrical, and computer repairs in a fast-paced shop.

Starting pay is $26.46–$37.84 per hour with a $1,500 sign-on bonus. Requirements include at least two years' experience with heavy equipment, a high school diploma, and strong troubleshooting and computer skills, plus shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience with heavy construction equipment and work tool repair.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in using a computer and service software.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose all assigned work orders and determine proper repair procedures.
• Service, diagnose and repair Caterpillar and allied equipment.
• Disassemble, inspect and replace worn parts; reassemble to factory specifications.
