Job summary

Culinary Sciences designs and builds rapid chilling food treatment systems for the commercial food industry. We seek a Field Service Technician to install, commission, maintain and repair CSI equipment at customer sites.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls issues, communicate clearly with customers and our home office, and document your work precisely. Regional travel required with strong support from the factory/office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years field diagnostic experience troubleshooting industrial electro-mechanical/automated equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; able to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Clear written/verbal communication; disciplined documentation and follow-up (pre-call, post-call reporting).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to lift/move equipment and work from a ladder for brief periods.
• Ability to work independently and interface professionally with customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, start up, and commission new systems; perform preventative maintenance and emergency service.
• Diagnose/troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control-system faults; read/interpret schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Perform inspections; produce clear, detailed service and expense reports; communicate parts used and next steps.
• Train customer staff on operation and maintenance; deliver professional, timely customer support.
• Follow all safety procedures and site requirements.
