Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Commercial Service Technician in the Williamston, SC area to independently service and maintain security systems, including intrusion alarms, access control, and CCTV. You will read blueprints and wiring diagrams, perform preventive maintenance, document work orders, and travel to site locations as needed.

A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in fire and life safety industry.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and low-voltage systems.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals; travel to job sites as required.
