Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Commercial Service Technician in the United States for independent service and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage networks.

The technician ensures systems operate properly, meets customer expectations, and supports compliance with applicable codes and standards. Travel to job sites is required, and the role offers excellent pay, benefits, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, if driving role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.
• Travel to job sites as required.
