Job summary

L & S Electric in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled service technician to disassemble and assemble pumps, motors and generators on customer sites across the WI/ MN/ MI/ IL area. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs and rigging as part of a mobile team.

We value a strong mechanical aptitude, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, travel up to 5 days a week, and commitment to safety. Company provides training and tools; expect overtime and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles.
• Willing to travel up to 5 days per week and overnight as needed.
• Fluent English (spoken, reading, writing).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime as required.
• Provide own basic hand tools; company provides others.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools; rigging/machinery moving experience helpful.
• CDL‑B endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble pumps, motors and generators.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on equipment.
• Removals and installations of motors, pumps and generators.
• Modify and repair equipment bases as needed.
• Use test equipment: surge testers, megger, multimeters, high‑pot testers.
• Use precision measuring equipment and perform rigging safely.
• Follow training and safety procedures; support other shop departments.
• Interact with customers regularly.
