Job summary

The Taylor Group Inc is seeking a skilled service technician to support customers with diesel and hydraulic systems in Gonzales, LA. You will be responsible for on-site inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and quality assurance during and after service visits.

Applicants should have 3+ years in diesel hydraulics, a valid driver’s license, and DOT certification. Expect travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years on the job experience in diesel mechanics and hydraulics.
• DOT certification is required, and the candidate must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various locations.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Service Supervisor to plan effective work and travel schedule.
• Diagnose malfunctions; repair or replace worn parts and adjust controls.
• Provide tools and arrange facilities to perform repair work, usually on customer premises.
• Inspect, operate, and test machines on delivery and after repairs to ensure proper function.
• Complete work orders and related paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Train or supervise junior technicians on large assemblies and complex repairs.
• Maintain a neat appearance and keep the service truck clean and orderly.
