Job summary

The Taylor Group Inc in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Service Technician to inspect lift trucks and perform repairs on diesel and hydraulic systems. Candidates should have vocational schooling in hydraulics and diesel repair and at least 3 years of diesel/hydraulics experience.

Qualifications

• Requires stooping, bending, climbing and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical material.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects lift trucks and equipment to determine repair scope.
• Performs repairs on gasoline, diesel, and propane engines with minimal instruction.
• Inspects, adjusts, and repairs components as needed.
• Repairs cooling, fuel, electrical, and exhaust systems using diagnostic tools.
• Performs preventative maintenance to improve fleet condition and performance.
• Maintains records of all maintenance performed.
