Job summary

Taylor Sudden Service, a subsidiary of Taylor Machine Works, seeks a skilled diesel mechanic with hydraulics experience to inspect and repair lift trucks and equipment at our San Antonio location. You will service gasoline, diesel, and propane engines, read blueprints, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure fleet reliability.

The role requires physical strength, basic computer skills, and welding test readiness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel mechanics and hydraulics experience
• Ability to read blueprints and technical material
• Stooping, bending, climbing, and ability to lift 50 pounds
• Basic computer skills required

Responsibilities

• Inspect lift trucks and equipment to determine repairs
• Perform repairs on gasoline, diesel, and propane engines
• Inspect, adjust, and repair components as needed
• Repair cooling, fuel, electrical, and exhaust systems using diagnostic tools
• Perform preventative maintenance to improve fleet condition
• Operate equipment to troubleshoot and test
• Maintain maintenance records
• Assist parts department in shipping and receiving of freight
• Take service calls and assist when Service Manager is unavailable
• Clean and maintain garage area
• Other related duties as required
