Job summary

The Taylor Group Inc. is seeking experienced field service technicians to diagnose, repair, and service diesel and gas engines at customer sites in the Jacksonville area.

You will install assemblies, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate on-site tasks with the Service Manager. The role requires strong diagnostic skills, access to your own tools, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work with customers in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Requires strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Must know how to use a multimeter.
• Must have own tools for field service.
• Good computer skills for service reporting and diagnostics.
• Ability to work with customers and peers in a professional manner.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Consults with Service Manager to plan work and travel schedule, prioritizing customer needs.
• Diagnoses malfunctions, repairs/replaces parts, installs assemblies to keep machines operational.
• Provides tools/parts and arranges for on-site repair work at customer locations.
• Inspects/loads testing of machines to ensure proper functioning after repair.
• Completes paperwork (JSA, inspection reports, receipts) in a timely manner.
• Maintains service truck clean and organized, and participates in ongoing training.
