Job summary

Acuative, the nation’s leading independent provider of telecommunications field services, seeks a Field Service Technician in the Columbus area to install and maintain voice and data networks, servers, and retail technology systems. The role covers a mix of on-site installations at customer sites across markets.

You will handle site surveys, cabling, and troubleshooting for routers, switches, telephony, and related hardware.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; willing to travel.
• Covid-19 vaccination required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
• Willing to work Monday–Friday with overtime and call-out pay.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain networking hardware including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Install and maintain telephony equipment and circuits.
• Support retail technology systems – POS, digital signage, video surveillance.
• Perform circuit extensions and structured cabling.
• Conduct site surveys and site audits.
• Install satellite receivers and fixed wireless antennas.
• Submit all job-related documents accurately and promptly.
• Maintain company vehicle, inventory, and tools.
