Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is hiring for a Field Service Technician in California, providing cryogenic and high-pressure piping services at customer sites and Airgas facilities. The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of cryogenic systems, with travel and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years diagnostic/repair experience in cryogenics, high pressure piping, brazing, programmable controls, and process instrumentation.
• Experience with bulk gas delivery systems, pumps or mechanical machinery.
• HVAC or plumbing exposure with welding/brazing is a plus.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean DMV report; DOT physical may be required.
• Ability to read manuals and P&ID drawings and apply standards from CGA, NFPA, NEC.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain cryogenic and high-pressure piping systems and related equipment at customer sites.
• Perform site surveys to determine scope of work and ensure safety and efficiency.
• Maintain inventory and equipment, troubleshoot issues, and communicate with management.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and obtain necessary certifications.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 3-5 days and work flexible hours.
