Job summary

Airgas is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, inspect, and service cryogenic high-pressure piping systems, bulk vessels, and related equipment at customer sites. The role requires reading manuals and P&ID drawings, maintaining safety standards, and communicating service issues to management.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime and overnight travel. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are essential, with benefits including comprehensive

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of diagnostic and/or repair experience in cryogenics, high-pressure piping, brazing, programmable controls, and process instrumentation.
• Experience with bulk gas delivery systems, pumps, or mechanical machinery.
• HVAC or plumbing industry experience with welding/brazing is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean DMV report (DOT physical may be required).
• Ability to read manuals/P&ID drawings and apply standards (CGA, NFPA, NEC).
• Ability to travel, work flexible hours, and maintain PPE.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain cryogenic high-pressure piping systems and related equipment at customer sites.
• Perform inspections and repairs to NFPA-compliant systems.
• Operate and maintain compressors, pumps, and shop tools, ensuring safe, efficient service.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills and communicate issues to management.
• Travel 3–5 days for installs and certification courses as needed.
