Job summary

Next Generation Mechanical LLC in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking a Commercial HVAC, Refrigeration & Kitchen Equipment Technician. This full-time field role services commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment with some travel across our Tennessee service area.

Technicians will diagnose, maintain, and repair restaurant appliances, perform preventive maintenance, and work on related electrical and plumbing components.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, or commercial kitchen appliances.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify causes of failures.
• Working knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, controls, motors, and safe diagnostic practices.
• Plumbing experience with drains, water lines, valves, and equipment connections.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and verifying equipment operation after repairs.
• Commercial kitchen equipment experience is valued; willingness to work on restaurant appliances regularly.
• EPA 608 certification is preferred before performing refrigerant work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and install commercial heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration equipment including walk-ins, coolers, and ice machines.
• Service commercial kitchen appliances: fryers, ovens, grills, warmers, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance: filter change, coil cleaning, drain cleaning, lubrication, belt inspections.
• Diagnose electrical issues: wiring, switches, capacitors, relays, sensors, motors.
• Perform plumbing troubleshooting and repairs: leaks, drains, water lines, valves.
• Inspect gas-powered equipment and complete repairs per qualifications and procedures.
• Read wiring diagrams and manuals; follow manufacturer service instructions.
• Coordinate with manufacturer support to troubleshoot and source parts.
• Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls; report status clearly.
• Document findings, work performed, parts used, and equipment data.
