Top Echelon LLC is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician for a key manufacturing client. This direct-hire role suits a technically skilled professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, working directly with customers, and traveling to customer sites.

The successful candidate will have 2–5 years of related field service or equipment maintenance experience, along with strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years field service or related technical experience.
• Advanced ability to read electrical schematics.
• Strong knowledge of high- and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Proficiency with a multimeter.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and motion-control systems.
• Ability to read pneumatic schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel overnight 50%–75%.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair complex electromechanical equipment at customer locations.
• Read electrical schematics involving high- and low-voltage systems.
• Use a multimeter to diagnose electrical issues.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and motion-control components.
• Diagnose issues with servo drives and motors.
• Read pneumatic schematics.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble electromechanical assemblies with hand and power tools.
• Support CNC lathe controls/programming platforms and operator training.
• Travel to customer sites and communicate professionally with customers.
