Job summary

Carl Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers in the Chicago area. You will participate in a ~3 month in-field and classroom training, then travel 70-90% to install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate the most advanced measuring instruments in the world at customer sites.

You will operate with a company vehicle and travel expenses provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School graduate, GED or equivalent.
• Tech School, associate, or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, etc.
• Military technical training is acceptable.
• Prior experience with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
• Microsoft Windows knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites in the region to Install, Repair, Troubleshoot, Service and Calibrate high-precision measuring instruments (CMMs).
• Document service work and maintain accurate service records; work independently in a fast-paced environment.
