Job summary

ZEISS Group in Indianapolis area is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel regionally, install, repair, troubleshoot, service and calibrate highly advanced measuring instruments (CMMs). A comprehensive training program precedes field work, with significant travel and hands-on learning in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, a valid driver's license, and readiness for 50+ hours/week, plus potential OT.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; or tech school/associates/bachelor in a technical discipline.
• Military technical training accepted as alternative qualification.
• Experience with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment; Windows proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Engage in a ~3 month in-field and classroom training to gain required skills.
• Travel to customer sites to install, repair, troubleshoot, service and calibrate CMMs.
• Work hands-on to learn new skills on high tech CMMs using mechanical and electronic aptitude.
• Document service work and maintain accurate service records.
• Work independently while representing ZEISS in a fast-paced environment.
