Job summary

The ICEE Company is seeking a Service Technician to join our operations team in Champaign, IL. You will service ICEE and restaurant equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and diagnose and repair issues with beverage dispensers and ice machines.

You will travel with provided vehicle and equipment, attend weekly service-center meetings, and uphold our standards for quality and safety. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, skilled in problem solving, and able to manage time effectively

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical background.
• Graduate of Technical or Vocational school, preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid REAL ID Driver’s License.
• Willing and able to drive more than 40% of the time.
• Must wear steel-toed shoes.

Responsibilities

• Receives dispatched service calls as assigned and ensures a prompt response based on ETA.
• Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots or diagnoses service problems, and completes repairs as needed.
• Maintains inventory and maintenance equipment such as parts, tools, and the company vehicle.
• Documents all work performed and closes out all activities upon completion.
• Clearly communicates with both customers and co-workers.
• Performs general warehouse duties including cleaning, organizing, rotating product, shipping and receiving of equipment, parts, and product.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
