Job summary

Samuel Packaging Systems Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair SPSG equipment at customer locations across North America and internationally.

The role requires 5+ years of field service experience, with expertise in PLCs, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical troubleshooting. Overnight travel can reach 75%, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related technical or engineering field preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Successful completion of Level II advancement requirements or equivalent approved experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and commission SPSG equipment at customer locations.
• Diagnose and resolve PLC, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation system issues.
• Provide customer training and technical support related to SPSG equipment.
• Support equipment demonstrations, product trials, and new installations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and other internal teams to support customer projects.
• Maintain accurate service reports, documentation, and expense records.
