Job summary

Hiab USA is seeking a skilled service technician to perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment on forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, and related equipment at customer sites and Hiab locations in line with Manager’s instructions.

You will build productive customer relationships, follow Best Practice in administrative and technical activities, maintain records and reports, and stay current with technical bulletins and required courses.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card.
• Valid Driver’s License is required with limited moving violations.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations.
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Own tools required and able to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, perform service, troubleshoot preventive maintenance and upgrades on equipment at customer sites.
• Follow safety rules, working practices and environmental requirements.
• Stay up to date with technical developments via bulletins and courses.
• Respond to customer inquiries to maximize satisfaction and follow guidelines.
• Keep records and submit daily reports as directed.
• Identify sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager.
• Coach juniors as needed and maintain a positive Hiab image.
